In this article we will cover: how to Check Eligibility of an Existing Patient, how to Check Eligibility of a New Patient, and Checking Insurance of a previously added patient from their profile
Check Eligibility of an Existing Patient
1. Start by navigating to the Mobile MediClaim home screen
2. Click on Check Eligibility
3. If you already have a saved insurance with a patient, you can look up eligibility by searching their policy
4. Click on the name of the person you would like to check
5. After you click on your patients name, it will prepopulate with the previously saved information
6. Click Check Eligibility
7. If your eligibility check is successful, you will see a new tab open that shows the full benefits of the patient
8. If you would like to schedule a new appointment after a successful eligibility check, you can click + Schedule New Appointment

9. To check eligibility for a patient that was not previously saved- enter all of the information under "Patient Information"
10. When entering in the name of plan, some plans are state specific, like TX BCBS
11. While others are universal, like Cigna
12. Once done, select Check Eligibility
13. If you entered the wrong information, you will get an error that looks like the message below
Please do not save this to the patient profile. Make sure to get the correct insurance information needed.
14. If your eligibility check is successful, you will see a new tab open that shows the full benefits of the patient
15. If the insurance information shows successful and this is your first time checking eligibility for this patient Click + Quick add Patient
Checking Insurance of a previously added patient from their profile
There will be a time when you want to check eligibility from the patient profile itself and not from the check eligibility tab on the left hand side. We will walk through how we do that in the Mobile MediClaim system.
16. Click on Manage Patient
17. Click on Patient List
18. Type the name of your patient
19. Click on your patients name
20. Click on the Insurance tab in the patient profile
21. Here you will find the current patient policies for the patient, if they have any.
22. To check Eligibility click on the left hand side and add insurance information under Check Eligibility
23. Once done adding the information, click Check Eligibility
24. while in the patient profile, you can also choose to + ADD INSURANCE by clicking the button
Remember, this can be used to add all insurances including primary, secondary, etc.
